On June 30, after the 2nd General Meeting of Employees, Dr. Hitoshi Tanaka (Chairman of the International Institute for Strategic Studies, The Japan Research Institute, Limited) gave a lecture on "The situation in North Korea" from 15:00. Professor Tanaka looked back on the process promised by General Secretary Kim Jong Il 15 years ago and talked about what Japan should do. We also call for the complete denuclearization of North Korea by creating a new US-North Korea relationship based on mutual trust. Lastly, I was impressed by the fact that my attitude as a diplomat was to look back on my feelings at that time, even though I only did it with the approval of the government and according to the sense of mission ( minutes ).
